Any recommendations for preferred metrics on tempo rides if on a bike withOUT a power meter? Will heart rate or speed suffice? If so how should I calculate my target? Thanks!
Heart rate is not an accurate indictor of effort.
Thanks Kaitlin, good to know. Can I get away with using speed? And if so, what should I use as my 100% value? Max sustainable speed? Over what distance? I’m new to endurance sports so any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
